1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using HostIQ ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including waitlist members, beta testers, and paying subscribers.

2. What HostIQ does

HostIQ is an AI-powered co-hosting platform that helps short-term rental hosts manage guest communications. The Service reads guest inquiries, references your listing details, and drafts personalized replies for your review before sending.

HostIQ is a tool to assist you — not a replacement for your judgment. You are responsible for reviewing and approving all messages before they are sent to guests.

3. Your account

• You must provide a valid email address to join the waitlist or create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use HostIQ.
• One person or entity per account — no shared logins.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use HostIQ to send spam, misleading, or fraudulent messages to guests.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or extract our AI models or proprietary systems.
• Abuse the platform in any way that degrades performance for other users.
• Violate any applicable laws, including short-term rental regulations in your jurisdiction.
• Use the Service to discriminate against guests based on protected characteristics.

5. AI-generated content

HostIQ generates draft replies using artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy, AI outputs may occasionally contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate suggestions. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all AI-generated content before it is sent to guests.

HostIQ is not liable for any consequences resulting from AI-generated replies that you choose to send.

6. Pricing and billing

Waitlist members receive early access at founding member pricing, which will be locked in for as long as their subscription remains active. Pricing details will be shared before any charges are made. You will never be billed without explicit consent.

7. Data and privacy

Your use of HostIQ is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We take data protection seriously and will never sell your personal information.

8. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. HostIQ may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for losses caused by service downtime.

9. Intellectual property

All HostIQ branding, code, AI models, and platform design are owned by HostIQ. Your listing data and guest communications remain yours — we claim no ownership over your content.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days unless legally required to retain it.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HostIQ and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
